Diversity & Inclusion Manager – for top tier law firm client. This hybrid role can be located in NYC or Washington, DC. This is a firm wide role and is responsible for managing implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives/objectives. Candidate will serve as subject matter expert to several departments collaborating to produce inclusive talent/organizational development initiatives. This role has two direct reports.
Responsibilities: Implementing retention/advancement initiatives promoting inclusivity and career growth opportunities. Coaching/developing direct reports. Overseeing design/execution of diverse learning programs to foster inclusion. Collaborating with HR and Legal Talent to integrate inclusion principles into onboarding/evaluations/promotions/career development systems. Manager inclusive branding/communications, coordinating with Marketing/Business Development team. Leading client-facing initiatives, including RFPs and co-branded inclusion efforts.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or JD preferred. Must have at least three years of managerial experience with at least three years of experience in a diversity and inclusion role within a law firm, or corporate environment. Proven success developing/implementing D&I programs/events with cultural/talent development outcomes. Proficiency with data analysis deliverables, methods, and tools; survey platforms, project management, and collaborative work platforms. Proficiency in VI Desktop. Proven success working in diversity and inclusion. Strong understanding of inclusion-centered organizational change and talent development. Proven project management skills. The salary range for this role is $120k - $175k commensurate with experience, education, and location.
Diversity & Inclusion Specialist – for prominent law firm client. This hybrid role can be based out of Washington, DC, or NYC. This role collaborates with the D&I team to working towards successful achievement of diversity and inclusion objectives. Candidate will work firm wide in a global law firm structure to implement, and convey D&I content, messaging and learning experiences. The D&I Specialist also coordinates closely with HR, Legal Talent, Well-Being, Marketing/Business Development, and other departments to create a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence.
Responsibilities: Collaborating with other teams to create/implement firmwide diversity and inclusion events/education programs. Coordinate with Manager of Affinity Groups to develop programs and deliver logistical support for internal/external programs. Build toolkits, microlearning modules, and learning paths for stakeholder groups. Collaborate with Legal Talent/HR with to enmesh D&I competencies into recruiting/onboarding/career development. Assist with preparation of responses to D&I-related industry surveys and client requests for info. Track learning participation, engagement metrics, and impact.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or D&I certification, instructional design, learning design, or related fields ideal. Must have at least 2 years of professional experience in D&I, L&D or marketing/communications, ideally within a law firm. Ability to identify and create compelling D&I content and produce impactful programs. Experience with learning management systems (LMS), intranet platforms, and content creation tools ideal. Prior experience with diversity and inclusion, specifically with employee resource groups or affinity groups in a law firm or corporation. Strong business writing skills, and design orientation to generate content. Advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite. Tech savvy candidates eager to learn new platforms (e.g., Smartsheets, Teams, SharePoint, LMS). Proficiency with Zoom, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Cevent, or similar platforms. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the diversity and inclusion industry and theories of intersectionality as they pertain to designing and implementing learning initiatives. Project management skills; experience with event planning. The salary range for this role is $85k - $120k, commensurate with experience education and location.
Professional Development Manager – for top tier global law firm client in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid role. The Manager role is focused on all facets of lawyer professional development and in guiding professional development strategies firm wide.
Duties: Assist in identifying associate career development needs. Manage execution of programs relating to attorney career development. Assist associates with integration issues, explaining firm resources, successfully managing interpersonal conflicts, and addressing career advancement questions. Provide confidential guidance to attorneys on career growth and development, including career planning, time and project management, work/life balance, and next professional career steps. Welcome new associates to the firm and provide them with available resources. Provide support to Management regarding associate needs including staffing/utilization. Provide ongoing analysis of workloads. Identify individual associate training gaps and propose solutions. Maintain relationships within the firm at all levels, establishing a reputation as a trusted advisor for career advice/guidance. Oversee performance evaluation processes in coordination with Directors, focusing on the Senior Associate and Counsel Evaluation processes, working with the Evaluation Committee. Oversee attorney personnel change processes. Collaborate with Directors of Professional Development to develop a system for measuring the effectiveness and ROI of coaching programs, using data-driven insights. Implement strategies to create a pipeline of external opportunities for associates. Assist Director with DC budget for initiatives. Manage junior members of the Professional Development team in DC office.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or a J.D. preferred. Must have at least five years of career development experience in legal, consulting, or other professional services organizations. Proven success developing/managing career development functions in a multi-office environment. Thorough understanding of best practices in professional development/career development. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Salary range is $118k - $178k plus bonus and generous benefits package.
Benefits & Retirement Manager - REMOTE– for a top tier global law firm client. This is a fully remote role in the U.S. This role is responsible for administration of benefits programs, ensuring compliance of health/welfare/retirement benefits with federal and state regulatory requirements. Candidate will manage efficiency of the benefits component of the HR Management Information System, Workday. This role has one direct report.
Duties: Oversee benefits information in Workday for all US and International benefits programs. Primary liaison with HRIS Group on all Workday configuration matters. Open Enrollment setup, Annual Plan and/or Rate changes and Annual ACA filings. Manage governmental filing for the Health and Welfare and Retirement Plans. Oversee retirement plan administrative processes including preparation/response to all data requests related to the actuarial valuation, financial audit, and non-discrimination testing processes. Evaluate quarterly profit-sharing contribution calculations and annual cash balance plan in-service distribution processes. Manage partner benefits programs. Prepare benefits invoices related to disability programs. Review monthly invoices. Communicate with all levels of staff regarding benefit issues. This role is the subject matter expert on all benefits plans.
Position Requirements: Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience of substantive benefits, ideally in a multi-state or international law firm. Prior supervisory experience ideal. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills required. Proficiency with Workday HRMS preferred. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred. The salary range is $97k - $186k based on experience, education, and location.
Senior Manager, HRIS – for a prominent global law firm client. This role can be fully remote, but candidates must live in the Eastern time zone. This role is responsible for overseeing the HRIS application, aligning with strategic HR goals. Candidate will work closely with stakeholders and HR leaders; in optimizing the use/functionality of Workday. Also, this role is responsible for managing development and implementation of new configurations to improve Workday capability.
Duties: Manage a team of analysts responsible for ensuring the alignment of the Workday application with business processes and HR regulations firmwide. Ensure data integrity and develop protocols for data audits. Collaborating with HR management, lead the strategic management of Workday system to aligns with best-in-class practices. Regularly review Workday and coordinating programs for areas of improvement. Develop an HRIS roadmap for strategic goals. Collaborate with HR leaders, Finance, and IT regarding Workday enhancements. Develop standard and custom HR reports and dashboards. Conduct gap analysis between existing configurations and proposed solutions, and present recommendations. Function as project lead for Workday releases/upgrades/enhancements, including integrations with other applications. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions. Collaborate with external vendors regarding efficient information exchange. Review security roles and access rights to safeguard confidential employee data. Provide recommendations on enhancements to the security protocol.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required. At least 7 years’ experience in a related role showing growth in responsibilities. Supervisory experience is preferred. Proficiency in Workday. Strategic and analytical thinker. Strong interpersonal and written communications skills. Solid judgment, with the ability to manage highly sensitive information and uphold confidentiality. The salary range is $126k - $201k depending on location and experience.
